Ghosts

Have you ever heard of Day of the Dead? Well, when Catrina, Maya and their family move to Bahia de la Luna, California, they find themselves in a town where people are obsessed with Day of the Dead and ghosts. They move there so Maya will be more healthy.

As soon as they get there, the two sisters meet a boy named Carlos who is obsessed with ghosts. At first Cat tells herself that ghosts are not real and this boy is crazy, but when her sister convinces her to let Carlos take her on a ghost tour, she realizes that they are real. As the year flies past and Cat starts school, she starts to believe more and more in ghosts while fearing them more and more as she thinks that they could hurt Maya. But when Day of the Dead comes, she has to face her ghost fear and go to the annual Day of the Dead party where the ghosts appear. When she goes to the party, she realizes she should not have been afraid.

Follow Catrina and Maya as they set off on their adventure to find and discover ghosts. Ghosts, written by Raina Telgemeier, is not a scary book at all. In fact, Ghosts is more wonderous than scary. If the title Ghosts threw you off, don't worry. Ghosts is a graphic novel and has amazing illustrations. It is definitely worth reading!
